According to Peter Benson (Psychologist &  former President of the Search Institute), only 25% of today's youth are on a pathway to human thriving. He believes the critical formula is:

spark + 3 "champion" supporters + opportunity = thriving

Our goal is to enable students to find and declare at least one spark, identify key people to support it, and experience an opportunity to use it.  

According to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (adopted by UN countries in 2015), our planet needs today's youth to participate in changing the way we are treating our world and its inhabitants.

Our goal is to empower young people to believe they have an important role in life and can participate in bringing change.

Experts agree that youth need to be equipped with the skills necessary to survive in a constantly changing world. We believe these skills include empathy, ability to both lead and follow, and innovative problem-solving.

Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to practice and develop each of these skills, using them in the context of something they care about.
